Blessed to offer my most heartfelt respects to all the Gurus in my life in this Guru Poornima day. This post begins with my humble salutations at the lotus feet of the most revered Gurus who appeared in my life on various stages right from my childhood till now. My namaskarams to the ADI GURU, – Lord Dakshinamurthy, the embodiment of knowledge,the destroyer of avidya/ignorance and bestower of janana/knowledge. HE is the Cosmic Guru, the personification of spiritual wisdom who imparts knowledge through the subtlest form of speech- para vak – beyond the range of the physical ear, abiding in silence. HE sits under Vata Vruksha facing the Dakshin/South symbolizing creation with the half open eyes symbolising both internal and external awareness.

Sri Ganesha Pancharatnam is a beautiful hymn comprising of five stanzas composed in the Pancha-Chamara metre in praise of Lord Ganesha by Sri Adi Shankaracharya. The chanting of this sloka every day with devotion, is said to bring in a healthy life free of blemishes, learning, noble sons, a long life that is calm and pleasant and spiritual and material prosperity.
